TORONTO - A documentary on author Margaret Atwood's unique book tour for "The Year of the Flood" will make its world premiere in Australia.

Producers say "In the Wake of the Flood," directed by Toronto-based Ron Mann, will screen Aug. 4 at the Possible Worlds Canadian film festival in Sydney.

After the screening, Atwood will do a live video conversation with the audience.

"The Year of the Flood," which was longlisted for last year's Scotiabank Giller Prize, is about the near demise of humanity.

Atwood wrote a one-hour theatrical performance based on the story and presented it during stops on her carbon-neutral world tour last year.

Producers say "In The Wake of The Flood" will screen at yet-to-be-announced festivals in Canada this fall and is set for a DVD release in mid-November.
